RAM uses quality engineering and top notch material. This specific rod holder is great for everything. They are the most versatile rod holder that RAM makesmin my opinion. They rotate every direction you could possibly want and if you cut the bottom off the tube you can put even the largest rod in them where the but of the rod wont be stopped. These are also great for trolling due to their movement ability.
