AirPro Advanced Elevated Seat - Wilderness Systems Ride Series

Last month I purchased a Ride 115 high seat from Hook1, and let me say it is like having a new boat. I spent about 3 hours out in it yesterday and it is a game changer. While it doesn’t seem like those few inches of height would make a huge difference, it does for me. I was able to stand and sit down much easier and quieter than just plopping down in the seat – sure it still isn’t as easy to stand and sit as the C120 or Coosa whose seats are much higher, but for me, this is a much better balance and takes the boat to a new level. Without the high seat I questioned if I would even keep the R115….with the high seat, without question it is the best boat for me considering versatility, storage and transportation. As a bonus, I also put STS on the molded trays and used them to place easy-to-reach pliers and baits. The STS made the items stick better to the trays and was very quite. I also placed a planto carrier under the seat for east access to baits – so much more is now easier to reach. Congratulations Wilderness, you hit a home run with this one.

I ordered my Ride 115 from Hook1 back in December and i've had my boat in the water at least twice a week since and I must say that the freedom elite seat that ships with the boat is damn comfortable! I could've fished out of it from sun up to sun down without feeling any soreness or stiffness and after the first few trips I didn't think there could have been a better designed seat for a kayak. This was my impression until I received this Advanced Elevated seat from Hook1. This seat really has raised the bar in terms of comfort and functionality for me. The added elevation in the sitting position has made it so much easier to spot fish, stand up and sit back down without feeling like I needed to fall into it. Getting back into the seat after wading the flats is also that much easier as the seat is now level with the top of the boat. The added storage around and beneath the seat has also made my time on the water so much more organized. No more cluttering of gear and lures around my feet and legs (my mom would be so proud). I also must add that i'm 6'2 and roughly 200 pounds and i've seen no loss in stability. I really couldn't be more impressed with this seat and I feel that I definitely made the right decision choosing Hook1 for my Wilderness Systems Ride 115. I believe anyone who owns a 2012+ Ride 115 or Ride 135 should do themselves a favor and consider this seat for their boat.

At first it seams more tippy, but after a few minutes of paddling around you realize it is just as stable as ever. Standing is much easier and it takes some of the strain off of older knees. The real difference comes when you sit down, now you can sit down instead of falling into the seat. One of the other great things is it takes 30 seconds to install it. Worth the money and then some.
